Artwork Description: Job was a man of integrity and God was pleased with him. Satan, however, thought that he could tease Job and compel him to lose his patience. And God allowed Satan to test Job. Job lost his children, his farm, got severely sick and was mocked by his wife and criticised by his friends. But he never lost his faith in God. Instead, he asked God why he had turned away from him and why he allowed pain and suffering. Why the evil seem to succeed while the good are punished. And God asked how man could question the creator’s wisdom and actions. Humbled, Job asked for forgiveness and believed in God’s will, until his patience was rewarded.
