About

GEORGE MUSCAT

Born in 1962, George Muscat was tutored by Gabriel Caruana and attended various international courses related to throwing and glaze techniques. George’s creations represent the mysteries of the world and the environment around us. Whilst opening a world into his own soul, he completely seduces the viewer with a curiosity that feels unreal in the environment we live today. Muscat’s works form an important part of many private collections in Malta and abroad, apart from a number of publicly displayed works. He has held nine solo exhibitions and participated in several collective exhibitions locally and abroad. He has been instrumental in setting up the Malta Raku Association and introduced the raku technique at MCAST Art and Design Centre, where he taught ceramics for over twelve years.
