KIF SE NHALLI L-MARKA MDAKKRA?

MATTHEW SHIRFIELD

Medium: Lino and gel plate print

Size: 42x59.4cm

Year: 2024

Artwork Description: This work provides an interpretation of humanity’s strife for perpetuity, by conveying the three ages of women as the immediate anchor for the source of life. From the elder, to the middle-aged doting mother, to the baby, one finds the echo of our generational roots. Above the reality of our mortal existence is the looming karba; the circular cyclical prayer innate in all life that desires to keep on living.
