About

KAMY AQUILINA

Kamy is an artist-teacher based in Malta. Graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and currently reading a Master’s Degree in Art Education. She participated in different collaborative art projects, art festivals, and art exhibitions. Her artworks are usually based on personal journeys, using mixed media, visual narrative, multisensory art, colour, and space. In her artistic style, photography is essential in documenting and researching. Throughout the past few years, she has explored multi-sensory art (light and sound installations). Xlokk Kaħlani was her first solo exhibition. It was an intensive documentary research project highlighting her life in Birżebbuġa. Throughout her artistic development, she continues to explore new techniques and work outside her comfort zone in order to improve her knowledge and skills. Kamy believes that taking risks and experimenting with new ideas can lead to great outcomes.
