Anna Galea (b. Malta, 1958) is an established, award-winning artist based in Malta, Rome, and Dubai, best known for her exceptionally large and vibrant still-life paintings and abstractions. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Art History, as well as a Master’s Degree in Creativity and Innovation (University of Malta), she has also attended painting workshops at Central Saint Martins (UK), and been mentored by Maltese masters Harry Alden and Anton Calleja. Galea has exhibited her art extensively across the main capital cities of Europe, in the UAE (including at the DUBAI 2020 EXPO), as well as in China, Washington, and New York. Galea’s watercolour work has been honoured as masterful in the United States of America as well as in Europe and the UAE where she was entrusted with conducting Master watercolour demonstrations at different international institutions. In October 2023, she was one of the selected participants at the prestigious XIV Florence Biennale, where she exhibited a large-scale watercolour triptych. Anna Galea’s paintings have featured in books of the highly acclaimed ‘International Artist’ publishers of USA, on telecasts, calendars, book covers, and other publications.
