Artwork Description: This work consists of collaging images from different sources onto the same picture plane, piecing together a new whole. The landscape is made up of multiple images of places put into one space - photographs of places I have been, and others visited on the internet. The lone figure in the painting is my own silhouette. It forms a narrative that touches upon notions of absence and presence, being and place, a kind of vacant reality, yet with very physical attachment and possibility.
